Vergara Finishes Ninth at 4A State Golf Tournament

Levelland Junior Max Vergara is in the clubhouse in ninth place after a round of 80 in the second day of the 2023 4A UIL Texas State Golf Tournament.

Vergara’s rounds of 69 and 80 closes the tournament at 149 and 15 strokes off the winning pace of 136 set by Jaxon Donaldson of Wimberley.

Colin Price of Godley finished second at five under 140 with Jack Burgen of Andrews placing third at 141 and five under.

Max is the son of Marcus and Jessica Vergara of Levelland.
