Sensational Sophomores are All Region Players for the 2023 Loboettes

The Levelland Loboettes had a sensational season at 32-and-four in 2022 and 2023 and with an undefeated district season plus a three round play run, the Loboettes landed two sensational sophomores on the 2023 TABC All Region Team.

Leilani Sanchez spent the season primarily at the point guard spot where the guard rolled down 9.5 points per game, collected four rebounds a night and coupled a solid offense with a very solid defense. Sanchez carded 3.5 steals per game along with 4.2 deflections. She landed honors as an All Tournament nominee at the Springtown Tournament, a Lone Star Varsity Athlete of the Week award, and was named District MVP.

Emery Smith led the Loboettes in scoring at 11.6 points per game. She also grabbed 4.3 rebounds per game along with three steals and 2.5 deflections. Smith was All Tournament at Denver City, a Lone Star Varsity Athlete of the Week winner, and District Offensive MVP.

Leilani is the daughter of Lauren and Chris Vaughn and LJ Sanchez. Emery is the daughter of Courtney and Cody Smith.
