Kent Finds the Money Round at Texas State High School Rodeo Finals
2022 graduate of Levelland High School Emma Kent found the money rounds at the 2022 Texas State High School Rodeo Championships over the weekend with a second place finish in the goat tying event
Kent’s second place finish would be a 47 point total turning a blazing time of 6.61 for the fastest time in the second round of the event. She would pair that with a 7.15 in Round One and a 7.19 in Round Three putting her 7.5 points behind event winner Tylie McDonald of Bryan Texas.
She would add 14th in the Breakaway roping event and 72nd barrel racing.
Kent will be headed to Hardin Simmons University this fall to join the Cowgirls basketball team.
Emma is the daughter of Keith and Keely Kent of Levelland.
