Loboettes Take Two at the Brock Tournament on Thursday

The #7 Levelland Loboettes took to the road on Thursday and opened the Brock Tournament with a pair of wins to move their record to six-and-oh on the season and two-and-oh in pool play.

The Loboettes opened with #16 Decatur on Thursday at Noon and while jumping out to a 19-to-14 lead after one quarter, the Loboettes slowed in the second and led 23-to-21 at half.

They would resurge in the third getting down 20 points over eight minutes and took a 43-to-34 lead after three.

Decatur would close the gap through the fourth and cut the lead to as thin as three points with 2:07 left to play but the Loboettes hung on for the 58-to-53 win to get to five-and-oh on the season.

Emma Kent set the pace pouring in 24 hitting five threes and scoring 10 in the final eight minutes in the game. Raegan LaBadie added 13 in the win for the Loboettes.

The Loboettes would move on the take on OD Wyatt in the next game of the pool and cruised to a 64-to-33 win.

The Loboettes got nearly everyone in the scorebook as Emma Kent and Raegan LaBadie led the charge again. Kent would score 15 with 12 of the those in the front eight minutes. LaBadie tossed in 14 points reaching a new career high. Carlie Tienda scored seven off the bench while Micah Graf and Madison Martin scored six each.

With the pair of wins, the Loboettes are now six-and-oh on the season and two-and-oh in the 2021 Brock Showcase.

They will take on Brock on Friday morning and Nolan Catholic on Friday afternoon before getting into bracket play on Saturday.
