Graf Tosses in 16, #7 Levelland Rolls by Littlefield 74-to-24

November 17, 2021

Myka Graf tossed in 16 on Tuesday night and with three other Loboettes in double figures, #7 Levelland rolled by the Littlefield Lady Cats 74-to-24 to move to four-and-oh for the 2021-22 campaign.

Levelland started fast hitting three threes and scoring nine off of Littlefield turnovers to build a 26-to-seven lead after one quarter.

The scoring dried up in the second as Levelland got just four field goals and gave up nine turnovers but the defense held the Lady Cats to just seven points and Levelland led 35-to-14 at the half.

Levelland heated back up in the third as seven different Loboettes scored in the third and Levelland hung a 26 in the third to put it way out of reach and cruise in for the 74-to-24 win.

Myka Graf tossed in a season high 16 hitting a pair of threes while Marleah Ruiz hung her first double figure game with 13 points on the back of a pair of threes. Laci White and Emma Kent hit for ten each while Christian Tienda scored six, Reagan LaBadie and Colbi Barnett scored five each, Carly Tienda added four, Emery Smith hit for three and Maya Munguia added two in the win.

Littlefield didn’t find a double figure scorer as Kyndal Edgemon led the Lady Cats with seven.

While the Loboettes hit just five-of-21 from the free throw line, they did shoot fairly well from the field at 28-of-61 and connected on 11-of-25 from behind the arch at 44%.

Littlefield would get just eight field goals on 44 attempts and just one three pointer on 14 tries.

Defense was key for the Loboettes as it usually is.

Levelland forced 29 Lady Cat turnovers and scored 20 off the miscues.

The Levelland Loboettes move to four-and-oh on the year and will get that record tested as they head for the Brock Tournament over the weekend.

The Loboettes open against Decatur on Thursday at Noon and follow up with OD Wyatt at 4:45pm Thursday.

Games continue on Friday as the Loboettes take on Brock at 9:00am and followed by a matchup with Nolan Catholic at 4:30 Friday afternoon.

Bracket games commence on Saturday.
