Loboettes Light Up Sweetwater, #11 Levelland Two-and-Oh in District Basketball
The #11 Levelland Loboettes opened red hot on Friday night pouring in 28 points in the front eight minutes lighting up Sweetwater for a 71-to-36 win. The win moves the Loboettes to 16-and-oh overall and two-and-oh in district play.
Levelland opened red hot hitting six threes in the front eight minutes as Myka Graff, Emma Kent and Allie Latham all hit two threes each and it was over before it start with Levelland in front 28-to-11 after one quarter.
Levelland cooled as the night went but led 42-to-13 at half and continued to grow the lead throughout the game for the 71-to-36 win.
Every Loboette scored in the win and four found double figures. Emma Kent led all scorers pouring in 19 while hitting four threes and going five-of-five from the free throw line. Mkya Graff scored 13 while hitting three threes, Allie Latham added 11 on the back of three threes and Michaela Watkins dropped in ten while going four-of-four from the free throw line. Laci White added five, Raegan LaBadie added four, Carley Tienda with three while Mallory Blocker, Colbi Barnett, and Mahalie Stafford added two each.
Sweetwater got just one in double figures as Kenzi Mitchell scored 12 in the loss.
Levelland shot it well on the road.
The Loboettes hit 20-of-47 from the field at 43% while connecting on 10-of-30 behind the three point arch at 33% and an outstanding 21-of-26 from the free throw line.
The Loboettes move to 16-and-oh on the season and to two-and-oh in district play with San Angelo Lakeview coming to town on Tuesday.
The Freshman game has been cancelled for Junior Varsity will tip at 5:00pm with Varsity at 6:30pm.
