Loboettes Drop Nine Threes at Denver City, Levelland Routes the Fillies 67-to-33

November 18, 2020

The Levellland Loboettes went to Denver City and took some red hot shooting along as Levelland dropped nine threes in 67-to-33 route of the Fillies.

Levelland got started fast as Emma Kent, Myka Graff, Laci White and Michaela Watkins all hit threes in the front eight minutes and Levelland raced out to a 21-to-six.

The scoring slowed a bit in the second as but the Loboettes found three more threes as Graff and Kent connected again from behind the arch and Mahalie Stafford added a three to put Levelland in front 37-to-12.

It was fairly well academic from there as Levelland scored 30 more through the back half and while Denver City had their most profitable quarter in the fourth behind a pair of threes from Bella De La Rosa and a three from Valarie Yanez. Denver City’s 14 point fourth quarter would not be enough as Levelland cruised in for the 67-to-33 win.

The Loboettes put three in double figures as nearly every Loboette scored in the contest.

Michaela Watkins led the way in her first game of 2020 as the senior knocked down a pair of threes and scored 12 on the night. Myka Graff and Emma Kent both scored ten as Graff knocked down a pair of threes and Kent connected three times from back of the arch. Mahalie Stafford tossed in nine while Colbi Barnett added eight, Laci White and Mallory Blocker added seven each and Raegan Labadie tossed in four in the win.

Denver City was paced by Valarie Yanez with 13 points. She was the only Filly to hit for double figures.

Levelland shot it well on the road hitting 23-of-58 from the floor at 39% while connecting on nine-of-20 back of the arch at 45% and 12-of-17 from the free throw line at 70%.

Denver City went 10-of-48 from the field at 20% while connecting on four-of-22 back of the arch while suffering under a Loboette defense that turned the Fillies over 24 times.

The Levelland Loboettes move their record to three-and-oh on the season and return home on Friday night to host the Premian Lady Panthers.
