Peralta Leads Sundown to LCU Chap Championship, Gets LoneStar Varsity Athlete of the Week Bid
The Sundown Roughettes captured the Small School team gold at the Lubbock Christian University Chap Invite on Saturday and for her efforts, Gabby Peralta has been nominated for a Lone Star Varsity Athlete of the Week.
Peralta, a junior at Sundown, took the individual gold in a time of 12:52.60 and led the Roughettes to the team gold as well.
She is joined on the ballot by Summer Williams from Shallowater and Natalie Poe of Kingdom Prep while on the boys card is Anson Rendon from Lockney, Coby Rendon of Ralls and Mario Sanchez from Denver City.
