Brangers Announces Intentions for 2018 NBA Draft

brangers2018homeJust a few days after the South Plains College Texans won the 2018 NJCAA National Tournament, Texan Sophomore Jordan Brangers has announced his decision to enter the 2018 National Basketball Association draft pool.

The 6-foot-2 shooting guard from Lousiville Kentucky started his basketball journey as a Redshirt Freshman at St. Catharine’s in Kentucky for 2014-15, Motlow State in 2015-16 before arriving at South Plains College for the 2016-17 season and helping to lead the Texans to the NJCAA National Semi-Finals.

After a string of potential colleges ranging from Texas Tech to Colorado State all fell through for one reason or another, Brangers returned to South Plains College for a second season and set SPC records for three pointers in a game (10, twice), a season (151) and a career (258).

Brangers helped lead the South Plains College Texans to the NJCAA Region Five Tournament Championship hitting for 32 points in the semi-final matchup against McLennan College while scoring in double figures in all three games.

After a solid Region Five tournament, Bragers was put on the injured reserve list due an injury to his knee and missed the 2018 NJCAA National Championship Tournament as he was not medically cleared to travel.

In an annoucement on Twitter March 27th Brangers thanked South Plains Colege for the opportunity to play for the Texans and annoucned his intention to declare of the NBA Draft.

Brangers has stated publically that he will not hire an agent and therefore will not jeopardize his remaining year of college eligibility.
