Levelland Loboettes Headline the 4A District Two Honors for 2018

Loboettes201718The Levelland Loboettes had a another fantasic season of high school basketball racking up plus 30 wins, a constant top five ranking, a share of a district championship in a well represented district and three rounds of playoff wins. With all that, now the postseason honors are rolling in and the Loboettes have put the entire starting lineup on the 4A District Two All District List.

The list includes the 2018 4A District Two Most Valuable Player of the Year, Loboette Senior Paige Royal. The 5′ 10” senior averaged 12.3 points, 6.3 rebounds and two assists per game. She is the daughter of Barry and Jana Royal of Levelland.

While Denver City’s Holly Hemmeline was named the Offensive MVP, Levelland Junior Miranda Villegas was named as the Defensive MVP while MaKayla Escue, Madi Ruiz and Natalie Velardez were named to the All District Team.

Levelland Freshman Allie Latham was named as an honorable mention while Levelland Loboette Coach Clay Barnett shares the Coach of the Year with James Bridgforth of Denver City.

Other honors went to Bret’lei Dominguez from Seminole for Newcomer of the Year and the All District Team honors went the Morgan Dial, Cas Esmerado and Arielle Adams of Denver City; Tye Perriman and C’Kyra Simms of Lubbock Estacado; Havyn Perez, Taylor Harvey and Ashlea Pool of Seminole; and Samaje Mason from Lamesa.
