Levelland Lobos Build Early Lead and Defeat Pampa’s Harvesters 60-to-53 For Bi-District Championship

LobosBiDistrictThe Levelland Lobos worked an early lead into a 60-to-53 win over the Pampa Harvesters on Tuesday night to clinch a Bi-District Championship and advance to the 4A Region One Area Finals.

Jaleevian connected for nine in the front eight minutes while freshman Isaiah Salazar grabbed a pair of threes and scored eight to lead Levelland to 25-to-14 after one quarter.

While that lead grew and shrunk through out the game, the Lobos never trailed again.

Reid O’Connor got going in the second as he scored nine in the second quarter and Levelland led 36-to-26 at the half.

While the lead shrank back to as few as six in the back half Levelland managed to keep the Harvesters at arms length and despite being out scored 27-to-24, Levelland hung on for the 60-to-53 win.’

Reid O’Connor led the way with 15 for the Lobos while Jakeevian Ford finished with 12 and Isaiah Salazar tossed in ten. Joel White added six, Jacob Ramirez five, Broderick Golightly four, and Kaleb Reyna three in the win.

Pampa got a big night from Cole Landers as he tossed in 31 in the loss by only four Harvesters scored in the loss.

Levelland advances to the 21-and-ten on the year and moves into the 4A Region One Area Finals on Thursday night as they take on the Fort Stockton. The contest is set for 7:00pm at Andrews High School.
