Defense has been the word all season long for the #3 Levelland Loboettes and it was no different on Tuesday night as the Loboettes pounded the Dalhart Lady Wolves 66-to-32 to claim a 4A Bi-District Championship.

It was a game for about three minutes.

Dalhart got the opening bucket on a runner from Karley Orman but Levelland took a five-to-two lead on a three point play from Paige Royal with 5:02 to go in the first and that was that.

Royal scored five in the front frame while Natalie Valardez added four in a 15 point first quarter for the Loboettes. Dalhart countered with a single field goal and a single free throw to leave Levelland in front 15-to-three after one quarter.

Levelland would go to pour in 21 in the second while again Dalhart lived on one field goal and one free throw and the Loboettes led 36-to-six at the half.

That would be plenty.

Dalhart would scored 26 in the back half but a 30 point halftime lead for the Loboettes was plenty as Levelland went on for the Bi-District Championship win 66-to-32.

Paige Royal led the Loboettes in scoring while many scored. Royal would finish with 15 while Natalie Velardez tossed in 13 and freshman Allie Latham scored 11 off the bench. MaKayla Escue added eight while Brytnee Bordayo scored six, Miranda Villegas had five and Kiahra Graves scored four. Brooke Lamb added two and Cami Garza tossed in one in the win.

Dalhart got 17 from Karley Orman but that was about it. No other Lady Wolf scored more than four and only six scored.

Levelland shot over 40% from the floor and while struggling at three-of-15 from behind the arch they also collected 17 offensive rebounds in the contest while giving up just eight turnovers.

Dalhart got off 36 shots but made a total of seven field goals. They did score 14 from the free throw line and coughed up 18 turnovers in the loss.

Dalhart closes their season at 11-and-18 and for that matter, every team out of 4A District One closed their seasons last night as Dalhart beat Pampa, Lubbock Estacado handled Perryton and Seminole knocked off #14 Bushland.

The #3 Levelland Loboettes move to 31-and-two on the year and advance to the 4A Region One Area Finals against the Clint Lady Lions.
Time, date and location for the contest are yet to be set.
