June 27, 2017

MortonAfter four years at Morton ISD, the Indians Athletic Director and football coach Jimmy Randolph has officially resigned.

On June 15th, the Morton ISD Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Randolph after four years with the tribe in which he complied a record of seven-and-33.

According to Superintendent Vicki Rice the search for Randolph’s replacement is well underway and the district plans on closing the application process on Friday June 30th.

The Indians enter 2017 looking to find the playoffs after a drought of five years. The last Indian team to punch a play off card was in 2011 when Coach Jimmy Tercero led the tribe to a seven-and-four record and a district championship.

They will look for a playoff berth with Springlake-Earth, Sudan, Bovina, Smyer and Farwell on the district slate for 2017.
