ASCO All-Star Classic is Loaded with Local Talent

ascoThe ASCO All Star Games will be rolling out in Lubbock at various sites over the weekend and the teams are loaded with area talent.

The Blue Team for football includes Levelland wide receiver Jeff Elliot and Sundown’s Colton “Bull” Smith at offensive guard. The Red Team for football includes Levelland quarterback standout Nick Gerber, Levelland wideout Daniel Hurn, and Levelland defensive linemen Cooper Critchfield and Braden Price.

For the Blue Boys Basketball team, Smyer’s Jerrod Fowler will be joined by Brownfield standout Jezreel Griffin and in Girls Basketball the Red Team includes Shallowater’s Jayden Wilder and Sundown’s Jenna Legan. The Blue girls team includes Shallowater’s Cayenne Williams.

The ASCO All-Star basketball games will be played at the Rip Griffin Center on the campus of Lubbock Christian University on Saturday June 3rd with girls basketball at 12:00pm and boys basketball at 1:45pm. The ASCO All-Star football game is also June 3rd at Lubbock ISD’s Lowrey Field at Plains Capital Park. Kick off is set for 7:00pm.

The mission of ASCO All-Star Classic is to provide financial assistance to young players that have been permanently injured while playing or practicing the game of football.
